1920 French Family Award Silver on Labradorite Gray Necklace
Following WWI, in 1920, the French government created an award, Famille Francaise, for the mothers of multiple children. The children had to be at least 5 years old and have a strong sense of patriotism and duty. This award was the Silver one which was given to mothers of 8-9 children. The necklace is 17” long of hand wired labradorite gray iridescent stones. The necklace comes with the original ribbon with which it was awarded.
